With MetalFX® Technology, it is possible to create outstanding SpecialFX™ with your fifth colour - MFX Base Silver. Simple methods whilst creating your artwork can produce fantastic results to your final printed work.
To achieve the best possible results when designing/creating artwork with MetalFX® Technology, it is recommended that 60% of an image is left CMYK and 40% to be metallic. As metallics tend to be duller than CMYK colours, it is best to have a distinct contrast between metallic and non metallic areas.

HoloFX™
HoloFX™ is the terminology used to make a selective area of artwork seem to appear and disappear.
HoloFX™ can be created in all industry standard application programs. The idea is to reduce the amount of MFX® Base Silver in selected areas within a metallic element. As a guideline MetalFX® recommends the following amount of MFX® Base Silver to be specified:
70 to 75% of MFX® Base Silver
The technique is an ideal way to create a subliminal hidden message within the artwork.

LiteFX™
LiteFX™ is the terminology used to make a selective area of artwork appear to change colour.
LiteFX™ can be created in all industry standard application programs. The idea is to create an element within a metallic area that is the same CMYK value as the metallic used. The use of light when looking at the metallic area will cause the CMYK area to change from light to dark, as you move the product or page.
The technique is an ideal way to make messages and areas stand out within the artwork.

A print-buyer wanting a voucher, credit card, stamp or label can therefore achieve accurate and intricate results to protect their brand at a minimal cost.

LenticularFX™
LenticularFX™ uses inverted metallic areas in the shadow areas of an image, blending into the brighter CMYK imagery, creating movement and a three-dimensional feel to designs.
